Suomenlinna, the "Gibraltar of the North" is a short ferry ride away from Helsinki, Finland. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site
in 1991 for its unique European Architecture, this great sea fortress
was originally built in the mid 18th century by the Swedish.
Ramadan
is the Islamic month of fasting, which means no food or drink between
sunrise and sunset. The dates for Ramadan shift every year by about 11
days, depending on the lunar calendar rather than the solar calendar.
This year, Ramadan was right in the middle of summer.
Prague
is known for it's rich history without a doubt, but there are plenty of
modern pieces of architecture to be found as well. I happened upon
this building and shot it for about 10 minutes, long enough that I
forgot to find out anything about it...
