It is a common theme in my photography to reach out and capture the "other worlds" on arth. My recent trip to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming (USA) gave me plenty of opportunities.
Lake Pukaki is
a glacial lake in the South Island of New Zealand. The deep blue
skies, amazing clouds, and beautiful blue of lake makes for a pretty
easy photo.
Suomenlinna, the "Gibraltar of the North" is a short ferry ride away from Helsinki, Finland. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site
in 1991 for its unique European Architecture, this great sea fortress
was originally built in the mid 18th century by the Swedish.
The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is known as the best one-day hike in New Zealand,
and one of the best in the world. The look of the terrain changes
throughout the trek and gives you glimpses of moon like valleys, active
volcanoes, and beautiful lakes.

Once a prosperous port town, Tokomaru Bay is now a quiet little beach
community. Old buildings used in the port days are now just brittle
brick walls, the forest slowly taking the land back. Tokomaru Bay sits
on the east coast of New Zealand.
