Heading to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia
was originally about escaping the heat of Kuala Lumpur and getting some
much needed hiking in. As is the norm in travel, it turned out to be
something completely different.
With the plan set to head to the Cameron Highlands, I decided to send a message to a local CouchSurfing host, and with a positive response, I was set.
Water seeps through the limestone roof of Deer Cave and falls 122m to the cave floor. Back-lit by the main entrance, where the famous bat exodus occurs nightly, the waterfalls give a surreal feel to an already otherworldly place.
